Mission to Mars!!!

Weir 5th Grade traveled to Greenbush on February 4th to participate in a Mission to Mars! They began the day by viewing a new full length show about the planets in the digital planetarium. Then, they planned their own mission to the Red Planet on a budgeted amount of money, mass, and power. After figuring out the best mission requirements, the students learned about the similarities between Earth and Mars with investigations of the geology. The students finally had the task of designing and building a rover to collect soil samples using Robotix kits. Back in the classroom, they will follow up with several fun and exciting experiments and activities.
