Bob Grant was an active and loyal 1966 graduate of Southeast High School. He was active in choir, basketball, football, and track. He also played and coached baseball and softball.

Bob held the position of mayor of Cherokee for sixteen years later and served this area in the Kansas Legislature as a State Representative for 20 years. His daughter, Megan, also graduated from Southeast High School in 1992.

Mr. Grant loved Southeast and lived in Cherokee most of his life. It was his and his family’s wish that they continue their passion for the Lancers by instituting this scholarship in his name for Southeast graduates.
