Dear Southeast Elementary Families,

School is right around the corner! I want to welcome you and your child(ren) to Southeast Elementary School (SES). I know it is an exciting time when a new school year starts. It is exciting for me as well. I will be starting my 21st year in this district. I taught jr. high math for 15 years and I am starting my 6th year as principal. I often say, “I have the best job on earth!”

Below are some dates to keep in mind as we start this school year:

August 9th and 10th: Enrollment (all grades) will be held at the junior high school from
7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

August 22nd: Open house for Southeast Elementary School from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
(hot dogs/chips/drink visit classrooms, meet the teachers, put up supplies)

August 23rd: Orientation for students in kindergarten, 5th grade, and freshman level from
8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served.

August 24th: First full day of school for everyone!

And thank you to everyone who came out and donated school supplies at the First Baptist Church on August 3.

Also, I’m thrilled to let everyone know that the Kennedy family is once again donating shoes to all of our kiddos! They will be arriving in September. That date will be announced when it is finalized. Thanks to this great family for being so generous and giving back to our communities!
