SkillsUSA Backpack Project

Every year Kansas, and other states, have hundreds of “displaced children”. These are kids who, through no fault of their own, find themselves without a home, and/or family because of bad home situations, fire, tornadoes, parent losing a job, etc. These kids frequently come out of these situations with nothing to call their own. SkillsUSA is looking to provide a little comfort to these kids through the “B&B Backpack Project”.

The Southeast High School SkillsUSA chapter is asking for help in putting these backpacks together. The backpacks consist of a children’s book, and a small blanket. Our goal is to put together 24 backpacks. We will donate these to local law enforcement, local fire departments, area homeless shelters, and the Department for Children & Families to be distributed as the need arises.

Please donate a new children’s book and child’s blanket at Southeast High School for Mr. Rockers to include in the SkillsUSA donation.

Please drop off your donations by the end of February.
