Southeast Elementary Career Day was held April 27th. The program began three years ago as a way to show our students that there is a reason for what they learn in the classroom.
We ask every student what they want to be when they grow up. From that list we get as many of those occupations to visit as we can. Otherwise we have many different careers represented. Vendors volunteer their time to show our students what is involved in their jobs and how they use math and reading every day. Most of them also bring things to hand out to the students representing their career or business.
The day is always enjoyed by students, staff, and visitors.
