Wednesday April 3rd, President Jamie Ball called a officer meeting to cover some upcoming events and ideas to finish out the 2012-2013 school year. Present was Vice President Donna Jacobs and Secretary/Treasurer Pam Yancey.

First Order of Business:

The Winter Athletic Banquet: Held March 25th for The Boys and Girls Basketball team and the Cheerleaders. Buffet included Josie’s rigatoni, salad, chicken strips and cake for a $5.00 cost to anyone who was not a participating athlete for the winter sports. Pam Yancey suggested that we try meatballs for the spring sports program and Donna and I agreed.

Fundraiser: Clint Rider offered the Booster Club an opportunity to work the Track concessions. It was only 1 varsity meet we sold Tropical Snow and made around $168.00, only because we ran out of ice or we could of made more. We are waiting on an approval from Mr. Malle to see if we can set up and sell only Tropical Snow for the Baseball and Softball Games. The concessions went well, we were able to make around $695 from it. We will continue to build ideas for fundraisers for the booster club and if you have any ideas please email them to me.

Athletic Program: Booster Club this is year has returned a large amount of funding to the athletic program to help broaden our Lancer Athletes and their success. $4,000 went to the weight room for a leg press machine to strengthen our athletes and their performances. A New Volleyball Net System that will allow dual games in the new gym this fall is underway with the help of $6,000 from our booster club funds. We currently have BUT waiting for it to be put together an eliptical machine for our strength and training program for $500. Booster Club is excited to be able to offer our school district funding and we appreciate all the help from our members to make this possible.

Lancer Pride: Mr. Weber is gathering a list of students and we will decide on whether to purchase shirts, bracelets or other ideas that would recognize this young adults and their accomplishments in Academics here at Southeast High School.
