35 Southeast students participate in Mid-America Music Festival

Saturday, April 11, 2014 was a busy day for the music students of USD 247. Thirty-five students from sixth through eighth grades participated in the Mid-America Music Festival on the campus of Pittsburg State University.

We had 46 total entries and many students had both instrumental, vocal and group events. The students all did an excellent job and the following ratings were received:

Vocal Solos: Robyn Nabors I+, Brody Newswander I+, Alexandra Rice I+, Peyton Simpson I+, Gracee Pritchett I, Kendel McNew I, Emily Wycough I, Amanda Becker I-, Maeleah Hartman I-, and Lillian Chrysler I-.

Vocal Duets: Robyn Nabors and Kendel McNew I+, Amanda Becker and Maeleah Hartman I, Allison Blevins and Jaiden Gregory I, and Annabelle Turpen and Elizabeth Scott I.

Vocal Quartets: Jessica Humble, Makayla Vinson, Halle Scroggins and Gracee Pritchett I, Kylee Harrison, Jaiden Gregory, Allison Blevins and Jessica Humble I.

Vocal Trio: Emily Grant, Madison Stephens and Miranda Hartman I
