On Thursday, September 18, the Southeast FFA hosted their first fun night for the year. Starting at 6:30, members from all classes showed up outside the Ag shop where Mr. Sutton had the Kansas State game on the radio and food cooking on the grill. After everybody ate their fill, it was time to get to the evening activity. This fun night’s activity was Bigger and Better. This is a competition where members split up into groups and start with a small item that they take out into the community and tried to trade it for another item that is either bigger or better. All teams had an hour and a half to try and trade for the biggest and the best items. When all the groups returned with their wide array of items, the night was capped off with some night dancing and some final socializing. These fun nights are very important to our chapter, they bring senior members and new members together and have a good time. Activities like this bring our chapter together and make us stronger as a whole. It makes us stronger by encouraging chapter unity.
