On Friday, October 17, the Southeast FFA Horse Judging Team went to Sedan, Kansas to compete in the Southeast District Horse Judging Event. In this career development event, the participants judged four halter classes, two performance classes, and presented two sets of oral reasons. We had two teams go to the contest, the A Team, which, consists of only Juniors and Seniors, were Jacob Zortz, JT Morris, Melanie Hartman, and Kim Fraker. The B Team, which consists of only Freshmen and Sophomores, were Hannah Williams, Jacob Wyckoff, Truman Buckley, and Morgan Leaper. Jacob Zortz and Hannah Williams were the highest scoring participants on their respective teams, both scoring 350/400 points. Both teams took home sixth place, with twelve other teams present and over 100 participants. Way to go, Horse Judging Team!
