Mrs Denham’s 3rd grade class was in the SES Lab on Monday to learn more about gears and how they work together. A computer program by PITSCO and LEGO guides the students through the construction of a simple machine. In addition to teaching the students the concepts of what the machine does, they also get to build something fun that uses the concept being taught that day.

On Monday they learned about crown gears, which allow gears to mesh at angles.
