For 18 years high school students from throughout the Four State area have participated in a publication and video projects competition at Missouri Southern. More than 300 students from schools of all sizes participated in the 2014 Southern Media Showcase and once again students with the Southeast High School’s Technology Student Association charter earned several honors.

In the Music Video category, Southeast junior Caleb Thompson of Pittsburg took 2nd place with “I Hold On”; and, Zoey Ball of West Mineral and Thompson worked together on “I Don’t Dance”, which received Honorable Mention.

In the Epic Movie Trailer category, Thompson received Honorable Mention for “Deep Within”.

And in the Four Lines of Dialogue category, Ball and junior Katey Freeman of Columbus took 3rd place with “Broken”; and, senior Ryan Thomas of Cherokee and Thompson worked together on “Apple”, which received Honorable Mention.
