May is here and I can’t believe it!

I can’t believe that we are at the end of another school year.  It has been a wonderful year as staff, students, families and communities have come together to support SES.  With a year behind us I must say it has been successful.  Thank you everyone for your support!

There are only two more weeks of school left but they are going to be very busy.  Listed below are the activities for this month:

May 4^th…3^rd and 4^th grades bowling for reading counts
May 5^th…PTO meeting 6:00 p.m. (officers will be selected for the 2015-16 school year)
May 6^th…1^st grade to Welch for end of year field trip
May 7^th…4^th grade will visit SJHS 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for transitional tour
May 8^th…3^rd grade to Joplin for end of year field trip
4^th grade to Ft. Scott for end of year field trip
May 12^th….Awards Day and Field Day  (make-up date May 14^th)
May 15^th…Last day of school for students (Full Day)

I hope you are able to join us for our awards/field day.  This is an important day for the students.

I hope you signed up for the hot dog sack lunch.  We will also have watermelon and water for the students and their families in the afternoon.  We are also planning a field event that you can participate in with your child.  We will have a fun filled day!
