OLD BUSINESS
- Playground- Mrs. Hall reported the Kiddie Cushion supplier from St. Paul has sent a sample to Washington, DC for approval. SHS students are still working on the plans and may need to find an alternative to print out due to increase in size. The initial plan to remove the rock from the playground is still in place and will give the rock to the gentleman for removing the rock.
- T-shirt sales- Shirts were ordered 9-29-15 and will be done next week. There was $1803.00 deposited for shirt sales.
- School Directory- Suzanne completed and it has been distributed to students.
- Lancer banner- Colleen will work with Chris Wilson in getting one ordered similar to the one made for the music class that was purchased from Greenbush. Suzanne made a motion to proceed with ordering the banner and will then have it the next time it is needed to represent PTO, Katie seconded.
- Weir Homecoming- Sold water and pop, along with some baked goods that were donated. The profit was $44, and there is some pop and water left over. Recommendations for next year include; start planning earlier to be more prepared, get there early for better location site, have a canopy for shade, and sell on Friday night as well.
NEW BUSINESS
- Book Fair- December 7-11, 2015 8:00-3:30 and also 6-8pm on Thursday Dec 10 with Santa visiting that night. Will need to get cookie donations and volunteers to work the book fair. Katie will contact the volunteer list to search for workers. Jennifer can work Monday and Tuesday and Elaine can work Friday, and Katie is available during the day as well. Each child will get $5.00 to purchase books only! They can choose the book when the class visits and the books will be set aside until the fair ends and they will be swiped through the machine and then given to the kids on Monday.
- Carnival- Friday, November 6th 5:30-7:30. Will serve food 5:00-7:00. Katie will get volunteers from the list to work shifts starting after school to prepare food. Jennifer will also contact the high school for an organization to work the concessions. Will buy food for 200 people and 100 cinnamon rolls. Tammie will ask the cooks to make the cinnamon rolls and she has contacted the CAPS to assist with setup and clean up. Elaine and Dorothy will meet to purchase 200 hotdogs, chips, 1 can cheese dip, 10 bags of tortilla chips, pop, water, ice, and nacho trays.
- Parent Teacher Conference Food- Elaine will purchase 2 small meat/cheese trays to put one in each building on Monday, October 26. Colleen will start a sign-up sheet for teachers to bring sides.
- Pumpkin Patch Field Trips- Classes will go October 12 and October 21. The cost is $5.00 per student and $2.00 per teacher. Hall will pay for this and then can be reimbursed by PTO for half of the total cost—so there will not be a charge to the student.
