CHEROKEE – Southeast High School Cheer Squad recently hosted Elevate Athletics Company for their annual summer camp. Elevate is directed by Abbi Reasor, Pitt State Cheer Alumni and current Head Coach, and Marcos Valadez, Pitt State Cheer Alumni and Universal Cheer Association staff. The squad has worked with Mr. Valadez for the past three seasons as well. “Private home camps provide personal attention unique to our squads needs and skills. We were very fortunate to have such elite instructors all to ourselves providing us with the best instruction and camp experience. Our focus was on group and coed stunts, team building, and game day and crowd leadership. The squad looks forward to supporting athletics and engaging and entertaining the fans,” said Coach Michelle Dayton. 

The 2023-24 coed cheer squad includes sophomores Kilynn Banke, Chloe Guymon, Macie Herron, Jayden Johnson-Keller, Kimber Kratz, Lyla Oehme, Bailey Siu, Maizey Williams, Cayne Windsor; junior Daphne Tavernaro; and seniors SaydeAna Renn, Deric Mitchell, and Tanner Wiles.
