FBLA Students Tour Alumni Businesses

Wednesday, November 15th the Southeast FBLA Group celebrated American Enterprise Day by touring two area businesses owned by Lancer Alumni and hearing about the start-up processes.

They first toured JT Companies and met two Lancer Alumni, Josh and Jake Thompson, who are excelling in their construction and lawn care business. They toured their new building and heard about what it takes to be successful as an entrepreneur. Each student received parting gifts of water bottles and notepads.

Next, they toured The Cake Shed, another business owned by Lancer Alumni, Carrie Low. She shared about how their business expanded during CoVid and is thriving out of the new building addition on their family farm. Students were able to see them hard at work and even able to test out some products before leaving.

We want to thank each of these businesses for their time and we hope to continue this tradition in the future and tour more successful Lancer Alumni businesses.~Cherie Witt, FBLA sponsor
