CHEROKEE – The Kansas Principals Association (KPA) has named Nick Hansen, Southeast Middle School, as the KPA Area III Middle School Principal of the Year.

KPA is an organization of over 790 building level leaders from across the state of Kansas.  These candidates were nominated by their school communities and selected by a committee of their peers.  Candidates are evaluated on their school leadership, school improvement, dedication, professionalism, and service to students.
