Southeast High School Cheer Squad trained with Elevate Athletics Company for their annual summer camp held July 1-3, 2024.  Elevate is directed by Abbi Reasor, Pitt State Cheer alumni. Instructors included Marcos Valadez, Pitt State Cheer and Universal Cheer Association alumni, as well as Hayley Ritter and Ethan Howard from Pitt Cheer. “We are very fortunate to have elite staff wanting to work with us and we appreciate Mr. Valadez for five consecutive years of unparalleled instruction and support. Hosting a customized camp in our home gym has provided us progression in all aspects of of coed and group stunts, jumps & tumbling, and this year we focused on game day which we are very excited about,” said Michelle Dayton who enters year 21 as cheer coach and sponsor (18 years with SHS). Dayton also recognizes SHS cheer alumni Cassie Swezey, Mattie Haynes and Brandon Favuzzi for their continual assistance with stunts and choreography, as well as Coach Laney Lawson.
