Hello, my name is Jacob Dermott. I went to school in Liberal, Missouri, and attended Missouri Southern State University. I graduated in December 2023 and then began my teaching journey in the Joplin School District. As a PE teacher, I love being around and watching sports, especially the Chiefs and the Royals. In my free time, I also enjoy golfing and fishing.
My name is Kyra Trejo and I will be teaching 1st Grade at Southeast Elementary! I am a UMKC graduate and I have spent 1 year in the classroom as a Kindergarten teacher and most recently spent the last year being a stay-at-home mom. I am looking forward to getting back in the classroom this year and can’t wait to meet all my kiddos! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks with the dog, and taking our son to the Library.
My name is Jennifer Hill and I will be the new MTSS teacher. I am extremely excited to be a part of this district and can’t wait to meet all the students. This is my first year teaching! I am very eager to learn a lot this year. I am from Arma, KS and went to school at Northeast. I have been with my husband 11 years and we have two beautiful children. Our daughter’s name is Lydia and she is 6 years old, our son’s name is Lucas and he is 4 years old. We have one little dog that we adore! His name is Cruz. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends. We love going on adventures and making memories with our kids. I am very excited for the school year to start!
