It was, by far, the muddiest, and one of the rainiest State meets ever witnessed by Coach Jones, but it was a great experience for Zayne and Tucker.

Zayne Gabern finished 42nd in 18:53, and Tucker Sutton finished 44th in 18:55. In a race that saw most runners finish a minute slower than predicted, with numerous runners falling throughout the race, the junior and freshman stuck close to each other as they have done all season, as a bus-load of Lancers cheered them to the finish.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the State meet and to those who sent a text, called, or Facetimed in support of these two runners. They should both have great expectations and high confidence going into track and next Cross Country season.
