Lancers Participate at the 2025 TRL Art Fair
Mrs. Evitts, Southeast High School Art teacher, took the following 15 students to the Three Rivers League Art Fair in Oswego on Wednesday, April 2nd: Addi Hildebrandt, Ethan Becker, AJ Gray, Callie Hudson, Leah Reynolds, Melea Mitchell, Daphne Tavernaro, Sandra Robinson, Kilynn Banke, Macie Herron, Jackie Robinson, Alicyn Burns, AJ Hudson, Emery Weaver, and Emma Denham. The students observed many presentations at the art fair, to include projects by local artists Sylvia Grotheer (ceramics), Mona Jurshak (glass fusing), Allen Childers (fantasy illustration), and Jenna Spencer (muralist and business of art). Students were awarded for their artwork and participated in onsite drawing activities and completions. Southeast students were awarded 5 ribbons in total. Jackie Robinson was awarded 3rd place in Sculpture for her “Sally” using polymer clay and 2nd place in Printmaking for her “Poison Mushroom” print. Melea Mitchell was awarded 3rd place in painting: acrylic and tempera for her “Barn Owl” painting. Ethan Becker was awarded 1st place in textiles and crafts for his “Tank Embroidery 1” embroidery project. Sandra Robinson was awarded honorable mention in printmaking for her “Lips and Cherries” print.
