The USD 247 Board of Education and Administration has held three of the four Community Conversations (referencing the post made on October 27, 2025). As a recap, these events have been an opportunity for the district to share important information about our facilities, specifically the temporary closing of the 1916 building in Weir that served grades 3 and 4, and to gather valuable input from community members for possible options on moving forward.

The fourth, and final, Community Conversation will be held this Saturday, November 15, at 4:00 pm in the Southeast Elementary School gymnasium, located at 303 S. Humbert, Weir, KS 66781. The conversation will last approximately 90 minutes and refreshments will be provided. Those who are interested may tour the main building from 3:00 – 4:00 pm, prior to the meeting.
