Each year, students in Kansas take the state assessments in third through eighth grade and once in high school, in reading, math, and in some grades, science and social studies. This year, students are taking the transitional assessment, which is a one-year assessment written to pilot new test questions for the 2014-2015 state assessment.
USD 247 is facing the same challenges as all the other districts in the state, with technical issues on the state testing website. Our staff is working hard to provide a positive environment for our students as they test. We are taking a slow and steady approach to the testing experience.
The flexibility and patience of students and staff has been exceptional and their efforts are appreciated!
Thank you for your support of your children and our schools!
