SES 3rd grade classes take part in PSU’s Paint The Town Red

Southeast Elementary School 3rd graders helped Pittsburg State Paint The Town Red on Friday.  Mrs. Denham and Mrs. Fox’s classes were at Carnie Smith Stadium with other area for what has become an annual celebration leading to the start of the college football season.

After getting autographs and meeting some of PSU’s student-athletes, the Southeast students got to meet Gus the Gorilla and took part in a pep rally led by PSU’s Spirit Squad.  The celebration concluded with the annual red balloon launch.

University officials say this is the 9th year for Paint The Town Red.
