Southeast goes 3-0 Monday during Pink Out/Senior Night
Monday evening was Southeast Pink Out and Senior Night for the Varsity Volleyball Team at Southeast High School.
“Tonight was a great night,” Coach Maya White said afterward. “The girls played well. They are continuing to improve each match. The seniors did a great job tonight. They all contributed whether on the floor or on the bench. They all were talking and playing as a team.”
Southeast first took on St. Paul, and beat them 25-20 and 25-21. Olivia Powell had 5 kills. Kalyn Bitner had 5 kills and 3 assisted blocks. Maggie Renn had 5 kills, 1 solo and 2 assisted blocks. Madison Bone had 3 assisted blocks and 16 assists. Megan Gall had 2 assisted blocks.
Southeast then took on Columbus, defeating them 25-16 and 25-23. Olivia Powell had 6 kills. Kalyn Bitner had 5 kills and 2 blocks. Bailee Ulery had 5 kills and 3 assisted blocks. Maggie Renn had 2 assisted blocks. Kelsie Westervelt had 6 digs. Madison Bone had 16 assists.
Finally, Southeast took down Frontenac 25-17 and 25-20. Olivia Powell had 12 kills and 7 digs. Bailee Ulery had 2 assisted blocks. Maggie Renn had 8 kills and 2 assisted blocks. Katie Horsman had 4 aces and 7 digs. Madison Bone had 17 assists.
Southeast is now 13-14. Their next match is this Saturday at a tournament in Neodesha. Then, on October 21 they’ll be in Baxter Springs to face Baxter and Riverton. This will be the final night for CNC matches and will be the final match before Substate.
