Southeast High School sophomore Dietrich Smith took 10th place at Saturday’s KSHSAA State Cross Country Championship for 3A Cross Country Boys. This is believed to be the highest finish at State in school history.

Smith finished the 5K in 17:39.80 at Rim Rock Farm northwest of Lawrence, Kansas.
