Southeast Elementary announces Spelling Bee winners

Congratulations to 4th grade student Brandon Burns of McCune. Burns is this year’s Southeast Elementary School Spelling Bee winner. Second place went to 3rd grader Lane Jameson of Cherokee and third place went to 4th grader Lily Webster of Weir. These three Lancers will be representing Southeast at this year’s Crawford County Spelling Bee on Thursday February 5th, hosted by Southeast High School in Cherokee.

Participating in Thursday’s Southeast Elementary School Annual Spelling Bee were 1st graders Kilyn Banke of Cherokee, Lyla Oehme of McCune, Hunter Ruddick of Weir, and Michael Smith of Weir; 2nd graders Jade Peak of Pittsburg, Stormi Smith of Weir, Teagan Warner of West Mineral, and Natalie Wells of McCune; 3rd graders Wyatt Brant of Cherokee, Hayden Galindo of Cherokee, Lane Jameson of Cherokee and Kaydynce White of Pittsburg; and 4th graders Brynn Banke of Cherokee, Brandon Burns of McCune, Taylor Lacher of Girard, and Lily Webster of Weir.
