Southeast Lancer senior running back Colton Charlton has signed to play football with Missouri Valley. Charlton played varsity all four years at Southeast and finished his career with 1,720 yards. This past season he carried the ball 101 times for 547 yards, was received honorable mention honors on both the All-CNC Team and the Craw-Kan Southeast All-Area Team.

“Colton is a tremendous individual – he has worked really really hard all of his career in order for this moment to happen,” said Southeast Head Coach Jerrod Hanson. “He has been a huge part of this football team and his dedication and hard work has paid off. He is going to one of the top NAIA programs in the nation.”

Missouri Valley is in Marshall, Missouri, has won its conference four years in a row and finished the 2014 season ranked 8th in the NAIA.

“He is going to a top level program and will have an opportunity to continue to have success at that program – he will represent Southeast really well,” said Southeast Athletic Director Frank Pittman. “We would like to wish Charlton all the best in the world in taking that next step forward.”
