Three Southeast students have qualified to participate at the State Solo Festival on April 25 at Southeast of Saline High School in Gypsum, Kansas.
Jamie Leeper (senior, saxophone), Taylor Stanley (junior, baritone) and Madison Westervelt (sophomore, vocal) qualified by receiving “one” ratings on their solos at the Regional Solo and Small Ensemble Festival at Pittsburg State on Saturday April 11, 2015.
The trio of Leeper, Stanley, and Bryson Spahn (junior trombone) received a “two” rating.
The quarter of Westervelt (sophomore flute), Will Chrysler (junior saxophone), Nathan Fortmayer (senior trumpet) and Kyler Spahn (freshman, bass clarinet) also received a “two” rating.
