Southeast was among 13 area school districts to send 3rd grade students to the Kansas Kids Fitness & Safety Day at Pittsburg State University on Friday.
Around 980 students participated and there was something for everyone: Dance (Mr Goode found his calling), Karate, Relay Races (sprints, backpedaling, bunny hop, bear crawl, crab walk and leap frog), Parachute Play (including a game called “Sharks & Minnows which the kids loved), and, being the home of the Gorilla Football team, a Football Toss.
Also, we’d like to give a shout out to the Pittsburg State University – College of Education students who spent their day with all of the kids this morning. You did a fantastic job and our students and staff had a great time. #OAGAG
