SE girls travel team wins 14U USSSA National Championship

Two Southeast freshmen are members of the travel team that won the 2016 USSSA 14U National Championship game held on Sunday in Bentonville, Arkansas. Katie Bitner and McKenna Renn have played for the Battitudes for six years. Bitner hit her 15th homerun of the season during the Nationals tournament.

The Battitudes team is made up of girls from the southeast Kansas region as well as the Webb City area, and finished the season 65-19.

In a separate tournament, also on Sunday, fellow Southeast freshman Liberty Gregory plays for a team that took 2nd place in the ASA Heartland World Series held in Olathe, Kansas.

Great job ladies!
