For the past couple of years the Southeast Junior High has had a Great Outdoors class. They took a day off to go fishing on Tuesday October 18 and 7th grader Cullen Mutz of Cherokee caught a 5.5 pound, 21 inch large mouth bass.
“I don’t think I can hardly fish anymore, I’m shakin’ so much,” Mutz said afterward. “I caught it way out there – I thought it was a two or three pounder, then I saw it’s mouth – I about had a heart attack.”
The catch and release adventure took place outside of Columbus.
