Southeast-Cherokee sophomores Tanner Craddock and Jessie Jenkins qualified for the Kansas Class 3A Cross Country State Meet on Saturday October 29.

Craddock ran an 18:09 to take 9th place at Regionals at Lake Afton Park near Wichita on Saturday; and, Jenkins ran a 21.23 to take 2nd place, just 7 seconds behind the 1st place finisher. Craddock and Jenkins are cousins, and are both from Weir, Kansas.

As a team, last year neither the Southeast Boys nor Girls had enough runners to qualify for team qualifications. This year, both teams took 5th place at Regionals.

The Class 3A State Meet will be held at Lawrence-Rim Rock Farm, located at US 59-24 Hwy & County Line Road 1045, Lawrence, 66044. 3A Boys will run Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 3A Girls will run at 11:45 a.m.
