BOARD VACANCY NOTICE: Zone 5 Member TO FILL VACANCY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE UNEXPIRED TERM

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2022, of a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Education of Unified School District No. 247, Cherokee-Crawford County, Kansas; DBA USD 247 Southeast.

This vacancy will be filled by appointment of the Board of Education not sooner than fifteen (15) days following publication of this notice. The appointed member will serve the remainder of the unexpired term in this position.

Such vacancy exists by reason of the resignation of Jeff Burns representing Zone 5.

Persons interested in filling the remainder of the unexpired term in this position should submit a letter of interest, including name, current residential address, and daytime telephone number, to USD 247 Southeast Board of Education, 506 S. Smelter Cherokee, Kansas, 66724, by June 29, 2017.
