This past week, 4 FBLA members and their advisor traveled to the city of Baltimore, Maryland for the National Leadership Conference. Two of the members, Daisy Burns and Sarah Clausen, competed in Graphic Design. They first presented Friday morning and learned they had been one of the 14 teams selected as finalists to present again on Saturday afternoon. They then had to wait for the Awards of Excellence ceremony that would be hosted Sunday evening to find out if they were top 10, which would put them on the national stage, something no other Southeast student has accomplished. Burns and Clausen received 9th place in the nation, making them the first team for SE FBLA to be recognized on stage at the National competition. They had beat out 89 teams. “It feels good to leave our mark after 4 years at SE” said Daisy Burns. Caitlin Low and Wyntr Jacobs also attended the conference, presenting alongside 85 other teams in Business Financial Plan. For Wyntr, Caitlin and Sarah, this was their 3rd time to attend the national competition and for Daisy, it was her 4th time to attend.
We would like to thank everyone for the continued support towards the FBLA program.
