A Note from Nurse Lacey

Below is a note from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) regarding the management of persons with influenza. ~ Nurse Lacey

Good afternoon,

Please see the attached memorandum describing the updated recommendations regarding the management of persons with influenza.  Persons with a case of influenza should remain in home isolation (e.g. excluded from school) for five days following onset of illness or until fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medications, whichever is longer.

Please direct any questions to our Epidemiology Hotline:  877-427-7317 or KDHE.EpiHotline@ks.gov.

Best,

Allison
