Cherokee County Summer Virtual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge
The generosity of our Youth Entrepreneur Fair sponsors combined with the cancellation of this year’s Kansas Entrepreneurship Challenge has provided us the opportunity to try something new – our first ever Cherokee County Summer Virtual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. This event will be open to local students who will be entering 1st through 12th grade in the fall. Entrants will create a 3 to 5 minute video pitching their business idea.
Students will compete in three divisions: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. And, we will be awarding the following prizes for each division: 1st – $300, 2nd – $200, 3rd – $100, and 4th – $50. Videos will be accepted from June 15th through July 13th. Judging will happen the following week, and our winners will be announced on July 22nd. Visit https://beta.goventuredash.com/competitions/14 for more information and to enter. We’ll also be sharing information on the event regularly on our Youth Entrepreneur Fair Facebook page.
This is a great opportunity for our kids to win a little money while working at home on a business idea. Only Cherokee County school kids can participate so Galena, Baxter, Riverton, Columbus, and Southeast students are invited. If you have questions or would like assistance in participating, you can email Mrs. Witt at cwitt@usd247.com.
