USD 247 and Crawford County Health Department Releases Statement on Positive COVID-19 Case

On Thursday, September 17, USD 247 Public Schools was notified by the Crawford County Health Department that an intern staff member at Southeast Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.  In cooperation with the Crawford County Health Department, we are following tracing protocol and individuals in contact with the staff member will be notified by the Crawford County Health Department for further instructions.

The individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department.  In addition, students/staff who were in close contact, per the county health department guidelines, will need to be quarantined for 14 days.  There will be an option available for a modified quarantine at school.

As per our established protocol, we will thoroughly clean and disinfect the spaces in our building where the staff member was present.  Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received. We are closely monitoring this situation and will provide you with updates as we know more.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
