ATTN: Southeast High School Juniors and Seniors
The following are changes regarding the annual College Planning Conference (CPC) for Labette Community College (LCC) that is typically held at the end of October. Due to COVID-19, the Kansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO) has transitioned these college fairs to a virtual format. It is LCC’s hope that students — at any high school age — will participate in thee zoom webinars to learn more about their options for higher education.
FORMAT: The format of the virtual college fair will be as follows: Students, counselors, and parents will have the opportunity to hear from several different colleges and universities in one session and have the ability to ask questions to college representatives.
Sessions will have six different colleges and universities presenting within a 45-minute time frame. Sessions are offered over four different dates/times to provide a variety of opportunities to participate. Students are encouraged to register for multiple sessions!— and the sessions will be recorded for viewing at a later time.
REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is required. (Registration details are built into the schedule in blue text. The registration link is accessed by clicking on the fair day and time):
1. Students can register for a session in each 45-minute time block. To do so, click the Student Registration link for each session of interest. If students are interested in attending sessions that are running concurrently, please continue to register for both sessions so colleges are receiving your information.
Once registered, students will receive a confirmation email with a unique link to join the Zoom webinar. When students register, they are sharing their registration information only with colleges presenting on that particular session. StriveScan does not sell or share personally identifiable student information with any other third parties. Students are encouraged to attend these sessions live. However, sessions will be recorded and accessible at a later date.
2. Parents Parents should register their students using their student’s information.
