USD 247 Public Schools was notified by the Jasper County Health Department that a staff member at Southeast High School has tested positive for COVID-19. There were no direct contacts identified at school in this case.

The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department.

As per our established protocol, we will thoroughly clean and disinfect the spaces in our building where the staff member was present. Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received. We are closely monitoring this situation and will provide you with updates as we know more.
