USD 247 Releases Statement on Positive COVID-19 Cases

December 2, 2020

The USD 247 School District was notified on December 2, 2020 that two students and one staff member at Southeast High School, have tested positive for COVID-19.  In cooperation with the Crawford County Health Department, we are following tracing protocol and individuals in contact with these students and staff members will be notified by the Crawford County Health Department with further instructions.

Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department.  In addition, students/staff who are identified as high risk close contacts, per the county health department guidelines, will need to be quarantined for 14 days.

As per our established protocol, we will thoroughly clean and disinfect the spaces in our building where the students were present.  Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received. We are closely monitoring this situation and will provide you with updates as we know more.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
