For the week of January 18 through January 22, the USD 247 School District is pleased to report that there were no confirmed positive COVID cases for students or staff. Currently there are two students at SES in quarantine with test results pending and four students at SMS in quarantine, one of which is awaiting test results. Two students at SHS are in quarantine. One staff member at SES is currently in quarantine.
Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department. In addition, students/staff who are identified as high risk close contacts are required to quarantine per county health department guidelines.
As per our established protocol, we thoroughly cleaned and disinfected spaces in our buildings where positive cases were present. Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received. We continue to closely monitoring positive cases and will provide you with updates on a weekly basis.
