USD 247 Releases Weekly Update on Positive COVID-19 Cases

For the week of February 1 through February 5, the USD 247 School District is reporting three positive COVID cases for students at Southeast High School.  There were no positive student cases at Southeast Elementary or Southeast Middle School.  There were no staff positive cases for this reporting period.  Currently there are no students at SES in quarantine, two students at SMS in quarantine,  and one student in quarantine at SHS.  There is one staff member at SHS currently in quarantine.

Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department.  In addition, students/staff who are identified as high risk close contacts are required to quarantine per county health department guidelines.

As per our established protocol, we thoroughly cleaned and disinfected spaces in our buildings where positive cases were present.  Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received. We continue to closely monitoring positive cases and will provide you with updates on a weekly basis.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Dr. Brad Miner, Superintendent of Schools
