USD 247 Releases Weekly Update on Positive COVID-19 Cases
For the week of February 15 through February 19, the USD 247 School District is pleased to report that there were no confirmed positive COVID cases for students or staff. Currently there are two students at SES and one student at SMS in quarantine. There is one staff member at SHS in quarantine.
Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department. In addition, students/staff who are identified as high risk close contacts are required to quarantine per county health department guidelines.
As per our established protocol, we thoroughly cleaned and disinfected spaces in our buildings where positive cases were present. Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received. We continue to closely monitoring positive cases and will provide you with updates on a weekly basis. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
