For the week of February 22 through February 26, the USD 247 School District reports one confirmed positive COVID case for staff located at the board office.  There are no reported positive student cases in the district.  Currently there is one student at SMS in quarantine.  There is one staff member each at SHS and SMS in quarantine. (Correction – there are no staff members at SMS in quarantine.)

Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 will isolate and not be present at school for a minimum of 10 days or until they have been released by their healthcare provider and the health department.  In addition, students/staff who are identified as high risk close contacts are required to quarantine per county health department guidelines.

As per our established protocol, we thoroughly cleaned and disinfected spaces in our buildings where positive cases were present.  Mitigation efforts will be adjusted as recommendations from the Health Department are received.
