There are few roles in any community more important than that of a school board member.  Board members play a critical role in the success of a school district, its students, and staff.   Being a board member allows you to Lead, Serve, and Advocate on behalf of the district, students, and staff.  

USD 247 currently has two positions open on the board of education.  Until the next election, the current board can appoint individuals to fill these open positions.  To be eligible for one of these positions you must reside in the district in Positions 3 and 6 (see the attached map) and be willing to dedicate a small amount of your time each month (usually only a couple of hours).
