What is a school board?
A school board is the caretaker of public education. Education empowers our youth to realize their aspirations and dreams, resulting in #LancerSuccess!
The function of a school board is to establish the vision and goals for the public schools in their district, and set standards for the performance of schools and superintendents. Board members are elected by people in their community to represent their values, views, and desires for the public schools in their district. USD 247 school board members put their time, heart, and soul into making the best decisions possible for the students, staff, and community. They are true advocates for the success of every student.
Board members are the lifeblood of USD 247 Southeast. Thank you so very much for agreeing to serve in this capacity. Your commitment makes a difference!
