FORENSICS COMPETES AT NEODESHA
A young group of students attended the first forensics tournament of the season when they traveled to Neodesha High School on Saturday, January 28. Of the nine entries in attendance, six advanced to finals. Sophomore Eliz White and freshman Shylar Bois placed 5th and 6th in Informative Speaking, respectively. Shylar also placed 5th in Humorous Interpretation where she was joined by fellow freshman Makayla Brynds who finished in 6th place. Freshman Bailey Siu won a pair of medals finishing in 5th place in both Dramatic Interpretation and Poetry.
For all but one of the Southeast students attending, this was their first high school forensics competition. It was an eye-opening experience: one we hope to build on as we prepare for the TRL league tournament coming up in three weeks.
