“I wish we could’ve kept up the momentum for the whole game and won it in two but other than that we played hard. We battled hard even though we were tired and we pushed through to succeed. I’m very proud of the girls. We all worked hard! – Charlee Gideon on 3rd place match against Dexter.
“It was a long day. We played lots of volleyball and played very well for being there all day. We learned lots about volleyball through the day, but we also got closer as a team. We played through errors and tiredness and still came home with a plaque! We got a glimpse of how easily we could shut out other teams but we also saw how important mental toughness is. Overall I am proud with how we played as a team, especially in the last sets of the day. I think this day made our team stronger and I’m excited for the rest of the season!” – Sr. Teagan Warner on the whole tournament.
“Great finish to a long day!! Girls got 3rd at the Dexter tournament. Showed a lot of “grit” in the third set of the last match for 3rd place against Dexter. We started our first match at 10am and finished our last match at 7:30p. We missed making it to the championship match by 3 points in the 3rd set against Wichita Warriors . The girls continued to improve throughout the day and became mentally stronger!!! It was a long, but good day!! I am very Proud of how they played. We executed at a higher percentage than we have all season!” – head coach Maya White
Our next match is a league match at Chetopa against Chetopa and Northeast on Tuesday, September 24th. Our record is now 6-7.
