Southeast’s Mary Colvin Receives Awards

CHEROKEE – During a regularly scheduled USD 247 Board of Education (BOE) meeting on April 13, 2026, Mary Colvin, a teacher at Southeast Middle School in Cherokee, KS, was presented with an award from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Oceanus Hopkins Chapter for Outstanding Teacher of American History for the State of Kansas. In addition, the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Little Balkans Chapter presented her with another award and a check for the same accomplishment. Congratulations, Mrs. Colvin!
