CHEROKEE and WEIR – Have we mentioned how much we love our food service staff?🍱 School Lunch Hero Day was last Friday, May 1, 2026, but we love our cooks year round!✨ This year was especially challenging with the food service staff preparing meals for the elementary school at the high school in Cherokee and then transporting it to the elementary in Weir…every day….twice a day.🚌💨 Plus, there were more kids to prepare meals for at the middle school, due to the 3rd and 4th grades moving over from the elementary.🍱 But, they all did it! They formulated a plan with their fearless leader, Connie Kimzey, and did some tweaking along the way, and now it runs smooth as butter.🧈 That’s because they are true School Lunch Heroes!⭐
